 Today in class we reviewed writing a paragraph. You have a claim. Your reasoning. Your reason evidence. And then you conclusion. 

Feb 23 Review

 Today i learned about thesis statements. When i take the AP exam i'm going to have to use the thesis statement. The introduction consists of 3-7 sentences and you need to have an attention grabber, you need to introduce the topic, and you need to state your thesis. In your body paragraphs you need to have 3-7 sentences. A claim, two evidence, and two evidence explanations. With an conclusion. And then finally you need a conclusion paragraph that has 3-5 sentences. You need to restate the thesis in a new/ fresh way. and then conclude.  

Black History Poems

 The title of my poem is called BS. It's about Black Women. My inspiration for this poem is from what i've seen and learned about. I am now going to recite my poem. 

"Being a black women in society is scary.

It’s always been scary because they kill us

Treat us like crap

But the people will steal our culture, slang,

How we talk, and dress

The minute a black woman says something

She gets told to “ be quiet”.

Because she’s a woman

Being a black woman and having the power to speak up for yourself is powerful.

Just a few years ago, the people didn’t want us to speak

Black women have been through a lot

More than black men because they would get raped by the white man

Black woman have been underestimated by everyone in society

We’ve also been scared to go to the hospital because we’re afraid that we’re not going to come out of the hospital alive 

Being a black women in society is challenging to this day because we get so much hate for doing something but the minute a white woman does the same thing

She gets praised for it

Black women have been setting all the trends and get no type of acknowledgment

BLACK WOMEN DESERVE BETTER.".

Feb 9, review

 Today in class i learned about. Urgency and how it must be demonstrated that something happened. Crisis as Reality and how it must be the crisis is affecting my audience. Dramatic characters that show good vs bad characters. Policy as Morality shows that it's the right thing to do. And finally Rhetorically Generative and how it specifically select someone to make them out to be bad.

Feb 8 Daily Review

 Today  in class i learned about claims. Polar or opposition or heated debate. The rule of academic argument exclude the following as support: Because it's my personal opinion, my friends or relatives think so or most people think so, tradition, it's obvious, and it's morally right. A claim supports your argument. A good claim is specific and it makes a focused argument. This is all i have learned today.

Friday Review Blog

 On this Friday i learned about dark and funny humor. I've learned how to write an essay that defends. I've also learned how to write an essay that challenges a topic. And a essay that qualifies an topic. Humorists was a new word i learned. That's all i learned on Friday since we mostly just reviewed a lot of stuff.

Thursday Class Review

 On this Thursday i  learned about rhetorical situations. I've learned that the writer considers culture, person characteristics, and interests and that affects what he/ she writes. Factors that can also affect the writing are your age, experiences, gender, location political beliefs, parents/ peers , also your education. Owning something may or may not change a person. And i learned about the Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates ways. 

What did we learn today Feb 3

 Today in class i learned about the Negro Peaks of Rivers. I've learned that the Negro Speaks of Rivers is primarily about the long history of the black race. Rivers flow like blood in your veins and they are stopped in two ways; Forced or dead. Most of my classmates have some type of African descent. Finally i learned that most of the rivers we talked about are in Africa and Africa has tons of interesting things to discuss.
